Details
The garden around this coastal cottage establishes the framework for a landscape that will eventually extend to connect with the main house and wider site, so it was important to work with the surrounds to encourage this connection.
Native planting creates a relaxed, informal character, with meandering paths leading through the garden and opening out towards expansive views across the sea.
Planting is naturalistic, allowing the landscape to feel established within its coastal setting while creating a softer transition between the cottage and surrounding vegetation.
As the wider project develops, these initial interventions will become part of a connected landscape, with the cottage garden providing the first layer of a broader garden experience across the site.
